A further highlight of my trip to Siem Reap was an excursion on the Tonle Sap Lake: Went past the Tonle Sap River on a motorbike taxi, the river flows gently through Siem Reap, and later past the river, lakes and paddy-field landscapes up to the floating village (takes about 30 minutes). It is late in the year, and the lake is full, the areas that were dry six months ago, are flooded right up to the trees and tops of bushes. Later, after the water has flown back into the Mekong, the people will continue on down to the lake, or better said to its new banks. The people there are not rich, but very friendly and seem to be happy with life. Everyone smiles back at you… This is always a nice experience. 

At the moment, there is something to be celebrated, the people are obviously getting ready for a procession, or something of the sort, and there is a small annual fair, which pleases the kids. I had to buy my ticket half way through the journey for 20 US dollars, could call it the entrance fee. Apart from that, the boat journey out onto the lake is included in the price; the whole thing is very interesting. We depart from the village, I have the boat to myself, with my driver and skipper of course. The boat is roofed over, thank God, the sun is burning fiercely.

A strange sight for our eyes: Everything is happening on the water and at the waterside – the church is a boat, just like the school and sports hall. The houses are on stilts or floating on some sort of barrels. There was a crocodile demonstration at one of the tourist stops. Actually, they are floating restaurants with souvenir sales. It is worth stopping for a visit, the view from the second floor has quite a bit to offer. During the return journey, we visit my motorbike taxi driver’s family, he comes from this place. His father is a fisherman, he greets me in a friendly manner.

We take a steady trip back with the motorbike, and reach Phnom Penh by dusk. I had really enjoyed the excursion, something one should get to see when out here…

At the end of my five-week holiday in Thailand, I let myself be talked into four nights in Phnom Penh by an old mate. He was going to do his monthly visa run there. He had been there eight weeks earlier and said that things in SVAY PAK had hardly changed at all. A bit of hope was growing on the old PNHs and Expats.

Shit. SVAY PAK (k11) is dead as a doornail, all the houses are locked. Of course if one demands then one is let in (as if nobody would see, and as if there were no grasses there….), ok, in the HOME FAR AWAY FROM HOME café one is asked in by Mamasans and pimps, it’s all no problem, not dangerous at all, completely safe, FOR THEM.

Was there twice, my mate didn’t have a shag, I only had one, and was worried during it…. In earlier days five to eight mouths had taken “measurements”, on top of that one or two LTs, nothing like that any more, it’s all finished.

The day before we arrived they had stormed the WHITE HOUSE, it’s said that a Barang and a Jap had snuffed it.

During the second evening my mate met an old friend in MARTINIS, he was completely shocked and at the end of his nerves. What had happened? Well I’ll tell you now:

The sex was ok with a shot in the mouth. A catholic massage was possible in the same house.

In the next place there were 20 hens, none of them had anything on underneath, up the stairs and locked the door. My mate was thrilled, I somehow couldn’t get going all that well, had dipped my hand in the shit with the ST (two chicks), one got stroppy so I chucked her out. The place could be put to use though, it was the only one where one was able to get a blowjob at the bar for free.

A few miscellaneous other places of the same style, one should just ask the driver, there’s quite a lot going on in PNH town.

A flight is like a stones throw: Approximately 50 minutes separates us from the highly civilised Thailand and the capital city of the third world state Cambodia, Phnom Penh. The return flight costs approx 5500 Baht (around 120 Euros). Can be booked in any of the many travel agents of Bangkok (also able to be booked in every better hotel). One does not have to fly with Thai Airways; they want about 8000 THB for the return flight.

There is a lot of hanging about and waiting at the Pochentong Airport: The procedure for applying for a visa (is not much of a problem at the airport, one should have passport photos with though, costs 20 US dollars) is still long winded, we had to stand in a queue for 50 minutes at immigration, then for another 50 at the counter itself. They seem to have changed the system to a computer system, the problem is that the officers don’t seem to be able to get used to the technology, I can’t think of any other explanation for the fact that it takes ten minutes to clear each person. Well, it doesn’t matter, we eventually got through. Our driver Mr Sophann (25 US dollars for him for 24 hours service) is waiting for us and takes us to the LUCKY STAR hotel. (See hotel tips) We got the necessary things done (got a safe at the reception, unpacked and had a quick shower) before we went out on the trail. I found my first bit of “easing” in a booth in the MIKADO CLUB…. We took two hens each into the facility which is separated from the rest of the place by means of a curtain. As I have already mentioned, they are in a good mood and ready to get going! Can do what we want with them, ok, that’s what we await when paying a couple of US dollars for each drink. Short time for about an hour costs five US dollars in a room. We wanted to have a bit of fun together – and not just nip off to some room to shoot our loads, we can do that anywhere.

OK, a change of style. Let’s get down to business! There are a few extremely good places to go to in Phnom Penh. My favourite, of course, is the MARTINI BAR; as a matter of fact, it is a disco, that’s if you could call it a disco. Don’t worry, to tell the truth (just like everything after dark in Phnom Penh), it’s a knocking shop, or even better, a place where one is able to chose a “beauty of the night” for a small fee. Everyone in the town knows of this place. I said it was a “disco”, that’s right, one can have a dance here if one pleases, but one doesn’t have to, one doesn’t have to dance to make a find. I like dancing myself, but not just to be able to drag some girl along with me. Description of the location.

Open Air area (roofed) with a bar outside, tables (food available but I cannot recommend this crap), and absolutely loads of girls sitting around, just take a walk through and hang around until one of them starts chatting to you, or more often to chat someone up. I know a few people in Phnom Penh who visit the place more or less on a daily basis. Have downed quite a few bottles of Black Label, and got of with quite a few hens, this is compulsory in Phnom Penh.

Wikitravel: Angkor Wat

Actually, Angkor Wat is only one of the many temples within the grounds, which are meant when mentioning this name. The temples really are very fascinating, and all who visit Siem Reap, should at least take a look at a few of them. According to our calendar, the facility dates back to the year 1000. Times when in Paris there was a population of around about 50,000, at the same time, there were already about one million people living here.

The temples are unbelievably impressive, mountains of stone processed piece by piece and stacked up. Without turning our short sex-tourist report into a cultural guide, because there are better sources of information, I will now show you a few photos just for a first impression. I took about 1000 photos whilst visiting the facilities; it’s a pity that the weather wasn’t all that good.

A ticket for the day costs 20 US dollars, there are also tickets available, which cover a period of a few days, in the long run, these are a little cheaper. It is possible to book tickets at the hotel; one is picked up in the morning and guided through the temples. I preferred to do things more individually, meaning that I got my driver to pick me up and take me down there, this meant that I was not dependent on a group or some special tour what ever. My driver waited at the front of the temple while I trudged around… It is well worth buying one of the guidebooks on offer here and there. They point out quite a few interesting places that one most certainly would have marched passed without even realising that there was something to be seen.

I found the large stone faces very impressive, and the symbiosis between building and plants to be found in some areas. Sometimes one wonders whether the building is keeping the tree together that is standing on top of it, or whether the trees roots are keeping the building intact…

There are quite a few begging children around the smaller of the facilities, they press some sort of rubbish into ones hand, and hold out their hand demanding „One Dollar“, a standard price. The Monks (there are also females amongst them) gladly give their blessing, and expect one to give them a small reward for doing so.

The facility seems to be a continuous construction site; the materials are partially very weather beaten. Some buildings have been destroyed by the huge tree roots, and the damage caused by the “Khmer Rouge” plays its part in making the temples’ requirement for renovation immense. At the moment, visitors are still allowed to touch the figures, and at some locations, the “frescos” have dark patches from the many hands that have stroked them whilst searching for luck, luck that these obviously promise. Despite the masses of visitors who are led through the facilities on a daily basis, everything is in quite an original condition, which provides the corresponding impression.

The first picture shows the only one of thousands of temple dancers who shows her teeth when laughing, nobody knows why she has such a dirty smile on her face, and nobody ever will. All records from this day and age were kept on organic materials and rotted away many years ago, this being the reason why many of the facilities mysteries will never be solved… these dancer can be found just behind the gate to the main facility.

Apart from the Martini, I would like to talk about a few other places. First of all the Clubs/Bars. These open at six in the evening, and all three are worth visiting:

Is quite near to the Central Market. Don’t let yourself be put off by the sight of the building from the outside and the stairway (pictures 6 – 9). One has to knock at the door; the door is opened, and closed behind one immediately. The advantage of this is that the girls in the bar have the peace and quiet to unpack your cock and give you a good old blowjob. This is free of charge. However, after a short time, a lady-drink is expected, costs two US dollars, ok, a good performance has to be rewarded. After some time, one grabs a girl (better 2, 3, or even more) and takes them to one of the ST rooms. This service costs ten US dollar per girl. They are really good; they are worth every single cent. It is also possible to “hire” a chick, something I have never done because the town is packed out with young good-looking whores who are willing to take my money.
