”Tony’s Entertainment Complex” is down the Walking Street and cannot be missed (about 500 metres on the left when coming from the Beach Road). This is actually my favourite place in Pattaya for pulling a freelancer. However, In between I had in fact actually avoided the place because the earlier very good show had been taken out of the programme with an extremely ugly fat bloke (about 150 kilos) dressed up in women’s clothes and made up like a clown taking its place. He danced around stage together with completely pissed up Farang (completely stupid but Thais seem to love that type of thing).

Apart from that the service had also deteriorated, one was continually put under pressure to buy something or order a new drink even if the old one was still half full. Nobody needs that sort of thing, especially at the extortionate prices. The pissed up Farang on stage is something that still goes on but in the meantime the services has once again improved and is now nearly perfect (Also meaning that they are no longer persistent).

The price of a beer is about 150 Baht – more than in the gogo bars. I prefer to buy a large bottle of Black Lable or ABSOLUT VODKA when visiting the place, costs about 2000 – 2500 Baht plus the price for the “thinners”. So, a few RED BULLS and/or a coke/soda, a bucket of ice and off you go. I like to give the service an adequate tip meaning that during the course of the evening things all add up, mainly a four figured amount. But, for that amount one gets ones arse wiped – from the waitress up to the supervisor, there is always someone there to replenish ones glass or change the ashtray. Popcorn and sour mango is also dished out.

Quite often one will meet ladyboys, for those of you who lack practice with Thai girls, please take a good look first or you may receive a nice surprise when back in your hotel room

The toilets are kept clean by a whole team of willing workers. The piss-pots are as so often in Thailand, better establishments filled with ice cubes. There are relaxing pictures of good looking girls on the walls. As soon as you have got your “thing” out, wait for it, one of the toilet staff turns up wanting to massage the back of your neck, is just part of the service in Thailand and quite normal here. The only thing that helps is a loud “NO!!!” After washing ones hands, the staff will assist here as well, one is given a hot and damp towel, very pleasant. Of course they always expect a few Bahts tip.

Things on offer and sold there… Roses, tequila, cigars, crisps, those colourful glowing sticks, balloons, plush toys… All sorts of bric-a-brac. There are girls of course, but they offer themselves without the help of others…
